Regulatory Relief Act of 2006—Regulatory Requirements UnchangedThe Regulatory Relief Act passed with no change to the annual privacy notices requirement. The bill passed by the House of Representatives would have changed the annual requirement for some institutions. The Senate did not agree with that provision and the final bill signed into law requires that financial institutions continue to provide annual privacy notices. Institutions that anticipated a change and have not yet distributed their annual privacy notices may find that our new standard disclosure is an ideal solution for quickly and cost-effectively addressing the annual requirement that is still in effect.
