Panel to discuss industry best practices to optimize stress testing and properly manage liquidity risk

Wolters Kluwer today announced that senior consultant and liquidity risk expert, Aaron Sayles, will join a panel of industry practitioners to discuss operational best practices to help organizations strengthen their liquidity stress testing framework through various scenarios, including the potential impact of negative interest rates, to enhance their overall risk approach.

The hour-long interactive panel discussion, “Liquidity Stress Testing Scenarios and Approaches to Properly Manage Liquidity Risk,” on Tuesday, March 15 is part of the 11th Annual Liquidity Management conference March 15-16 at the Millenium Broadway Hotel in New York.

“Demonstrating the solvency and financial soundness of an institution is crucial to a bank’s success, and liquidity risk management plays a vital role in that equation,” said Sayles. “During the panel discussion, we’ll examine ways in which workflow processes can positively or negatively impact stress testing, as well as the importance of having well thought out, clearly communicated processes that can be monitored to ensure data integrity.”

Sayles will be joined on the panel by Stephanie Weiss, managing director and treasurer, Mizuho Securities USA; Blake Hill, senior director, Liquidity and Funding Management, CIBC; and Peter Holik, head of Liquidity and Funding, Treasury Risk Control, UBS.

Having joined Wolters Kluwer in 2014, Aaron Sayles has worked in the financial services industry for 13 years and cultivated expertise on industry trends and regulatory developments in liquidity and credit risk.

Now in its 11th year, the Liquidity Management Conference brings together leaders in the liquidity and treasury management practice alongside key regulators to engage in discussions around critical business concerns.
