Sander van Dam is executive vice president and CFO for Wolters Kluwer Governance, Risk & Compliance, which provides products, services and expertise to help manage governance, risk and compliance challenges for finance, risk, compliance and legal professionals across the globe. In his role, Sander maintains overall responsibility for the financial aspects of the organization.
A seasoned professional with broad senior-level finance expertise and vision, including serving as CFO for Wolters Kluwer’s Global Business Services and Global Platform Organization for over three years. He also served as senior vice president of Wolters Kluwer’s Accounting & Control department at the Corporate Office. A position he was appointed to after having successfully led Wolters Kluwer's internal and external financial reporting function – the role which brought him to the company in 2009.
Prior to Wolters Kluwer, Sander was vice president, Consolidation & Reporting for ArcelorMittal. Earlier in his career, he held a number of different positions at Deloitte, both in the Netherlands and the U.S., were his last role was an Audit Partner for the corporate market.
Sander holds a master in Economics as well as a post-graduate degree in Accountancy from the Free University, Amsterdam. He is qualified as a Certified Public Accountant in Boston, and was a member of the Dutch Accounting Standard Board.
