Denial Notice—Fair Credit Reporting Act—Deposit

The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) requires that notice be given when an action is taken that is adverse to the consumer's interests and where that action is based in whole or in part on information contained in a consumer report. The Denial Notice for the Fair Credit Reporting Act is designed specifically for noncredit adverse actions (e.g., denial of a deposit account).
